Big Girl Syndrome

We have a problem at our house. We call it the Big Girl Syndrome. Now that Addie can crawl and pull herself up and stand she thinks she is independent and is a "Big Girl." This means she refuses baby food of any sort. She also will generally not allow you to put anything in her mouth. If she is going to eat something it is going to pass through her hands for inspection first. In addition, being held is only a means of getting somewhere quicker. If the intention of holding is to confine her then she screams enough to make people give you dirty looks at the grocery store. Naps are also considered optional in her mind. And big girls must like playing in the kitchen because that is her new favorite hang out spot. Happy 9 months to our little "Big Girl!"

Faith

I found this on Pinterest

"we must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us"

Lately I've taken to finding uplifting quotes like this and reading lots of General Conference talks on faith. Trevin hasn't been accepted to medical school yet and time is running out. We don't know what we are going to be doing next fall or where we are going to live. He has started applications for graduate school programs too (the deadlines happen to be in a month meaning we found out he has to take the GRE in two weeks) but lately it just feels like a down pour of less than good news. Trevin said tonight we really should be due for a break soon, seriously, haha.

I'm so glad for my religion, I think if I didn't have it all of this would be a lot harder. But with lots of prayers, scriptures, and General Conference talks things are looking lots brighter than otherwise. I'm sure we will end up where we should be and everything will work out.

Christmas

Just a few photos from Christmas. Yes Trevin had a Christmas mustache, lets not go into that but anyways we had a great Christmas and Addie had a blast!!
