Yes, it has been awhile since I blogged. I have probably even lost all my blog stalking friends. Oh well, sorry guys. Anyways life has been busy, fun, and exciting lately. Addie is growing up so fast and really loves to talk now. She mostly babbles but if you ask her to say a word she will usually say it. So far her consistent vocabulary includes apple (she says this for ice cream), banana, baby, mama, dada, grandpa, outside, night night, "ooh tootles" (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and some other more inconsistent words: rainbow, doctor, parade, shoes, and she even said Honda tonight when we asked her too. She loves to mimic whatever we do. We were laughing in the car and she started fake laughing, hilarious! Anyways we bought her some sunglasses on the 4th of July and she LOVES them. She keeps them on especially when indoors.
Someone had a brilliant idea that Addie would like sleeping in a tent so we decided to camp out in Trevin's parent's backyard over the 4th of July. Addie was pretty excited to run around inside of it but come bedtime she cried and cried until we took her inside and but her to bed in there. You live and learn I guess. At least we didn't try to go camping for reals and get stuck in the middle of nowhere with a screaming child that wouldn't go to sleep. Count your blessings.
Although the tent was not a hit she did love the fireworks. She kept saying, "WOW" and would grab our hands and make us point to them in the sky. I don't think I've ever seen her sit still so long.
And she loves to swim. The pool in Grandma's backyard is a blast! The first time we took her to a big pool this summer she was pretty scared of it but has since gotten used to it and has so much fun. Too bad its kind of pricey so we stick to Grandma's pool most of the time, which is fun too.
In other exciting news, Trevin got an interview at the University of North Texas for med school so he is going down there in a couple weeks. We are so excited. It is our first choice school so everyone cross your fingers. I promise I will blog more often so you will all blog stalk us more often too.
