Trevin's Ideal Weekend

Well we had a fun and busy weekend. It is probably similar to what Trevin would imagine as his ideal weekend it was filled with sports, wife, sports, sports, sports and some more wife. Haha. Friday night I abandoned Trevin to go see the movie Dear John with Melissa Lindsey and Jenn Stacey. They are two of my really good friends from high school so it was nice to have a girls night out. By the way, the movie was amazing! In the meantime Trevin indulged in his favorite pastime, watching the Nuggets. The beat the Lakers Friday night which was great because the Lakers are just dumb. Anyways Saturday morning we got up to go to Trevin's intramural basketball game. They at least doubled the score of the team they played and a couple guys on their team even got some dunks in. I almost wanted to start cheering for the other team because I felt bad for them. Not too long after that game ended BYU was playing at UNLV so of course we couldn't miss watching that. Well actually just Trevin and Brock watched it. Sleep was a bigger priority to me. After the BYU game ended Trevor and Natalie game over and we headed to Salt Lake to watch the Nuggets play the Jazz. Part of Trevin's birthday present from me was tickets to this game so we have been looking forward to it. We stopped at Chipolte on the way there. It's one of Trevin's favorite places but after being sick in bed all morning feeling its effects on my stomach I've sworn it off. The Nuggets game was great. It was a really close game which was fun the only disappointing thing was Carmelo and Chauncey were both injured. Given that their star players were out the Nuggs put up a legit fight but ended up losing by 10. Because of events during the game Natalie has earned the new nickname of either St. Nat or the hot dog lady, I haven't decided yet. There was a kid carrying three drinks and three hotdogs up the steps at the game and totally tripped right in front of us and all of his stuff spilled everywhere. Nat felt so bad for the kid that she went to concessions stand and explained what happened and they gave her new food. The little kids were so happy when she went and gave it to them. Man what a saint. Well the superbowl concluded our intense weekend of sports. We went over to Brock and Ashley's to watch the game and eat lots of good party food. Too bad the Saints won and Austin Collie will have to keep waiting for that superbowl ring.

Whew after all that sports this weekend good thing next weekend is Valentines and I can have my ideal romantic weekend, right Trevin?

Happy early birthday Trevin!
The other half of our double date team

Yeah Nuggs!
At Chipolte before the game, if you can't tell we're excited!

BYU vs. Utah Basketball Game

Brock and I showed up 3 hours before game time to get in line, and these were the seats that we got. Its ok, any seat to see the Utes get beat are good seats.

Little Cal cheering on the Cougars.

Allison and I enjoying the big win!!!

Frozen Pizza, a Coke, and the Nuggets

Thats right, its girls night at the movies, so im home with a frozen pizza, a coke, cheering on my Nuggets as they take on the Lakers (they are leading by 5 at the start of the 4th quarter by the way). I love my wife but watching games when she isnt here are more entertaining. I can scream and clap and jump around all I want. Im sure that she enjoys it more too.

Well, life around here is good. We are in the thick of things as far as the semester goes. Allison just finished her first week of midterms for the semester. She dominated them like always. My first wave of tests are just starting, which means i may put in an extra few minutes a day studying. Haha.

We have a fun day planned tomorrow. It starts off with an intramural basketball game at 9. "Real Men of Genius" (yeah thats our team name, jealous?) has started of the season 2-0. We are looking good, and hope to continue the dominance tomorrow. Then, tomorrow night we are going with Trevor and Natalie to see the Nuggets beat the Jazz. Allison got us tickets for my birthday. She knows how to make me happy!! We are bummed that Carmelo might not play, but we are still really excited. It should be fun!!!

Other than that, we dont have a lot going on. We try to have fun although we are both busy with school and work. Oh, I almost forgot...Last night Allison and I had a big time Wii tennis tournament last night. Allison challenged me too it, with the loser having to file our taxes. It was a close match, but yours truly came out victorious! Thank heavens, I really didnt wanna fill those things out. Don't worry, I will serve as great moral support.

Well, the Nuggets are up by 11 now with 4 minutes left in the game, so I gotta get back to jumping around and cheering.

The Last Three Months Abridged

So we have been horrible at this whole blogging thing. We have been so busy with life in the last few months but I figure its time for a quick update.

We had an awesome holiday season with lots of family and friends. Trev and I were lucky enough to be able to spend time with both of our families. We flew to Colorado a few days after finals ended and spent a week with my family. Christmas was so fun with Richard and Adriane and Raymond and Karri and all of their kids. The day after Christmas Raymond and Karri's son Matthew got sick and was in the hospital for about a week with RSV. Their other three kids came to stay with grandma and grandpa so it was a busy and full house but we had lots of fun. We were able to see some of my old friends and a lot of Trevin's old friends too which was really good for him since he hasn't see them in such a long time. After a week we flew back to Utah and headed up to Logan for the rest of our break. It was great to spend time with the Cardon's and especially play with Cal, our 15 month old nephew. Also while in Logan Trevin and I got a little impulsive with Christmas money and bought a Wii and Wii fit which has been a great stress reliever during long periods of studying. At least that's my justification for buying it, its improving my education.

After the holidays winter semester started up. Trevin really likes his classes and since he is a genius claims they are all easy, if only I had those brains. I started my second brutal semester of accounting. Gratefully this is the last semester of it. Since I have been so busy lately Trevin has turned in to quite the Iron Chef and has been cooking up a storm. He has made everything from cinnamon rolls to Olive Garden Shrimp Primavera that he made for my birthday. Speaking of birthdays next weekend we are going to see the Jazz play the Nuggets for Trevin's birthday. The Nuggets are his favorite team so I thought it would be a good present. We are pumped for the game. Well that's our life these days. I promise Trevin will update this sooner than we have in the past, its a New Years resolution.....a few days late.

We Are Still Alive....

I know, it has been far too long since we have blogged and since Trevin and I trade off who writes the blogs you can guess whose fault that is. Well I know most of you just thought Trevin but its actually me. Anyways things have been a whirlwind since we started school. Trevin is working on his Spanish Translation major and just started the program this fall. He likes all of his classes, especially physics, that way he can suck up to my dad. Haha, just kidding, but he is doing great and is definitely the rock in our family right now. I am working on the junior core of the accounting program and have been nothing but a boring, emotional, busy student. Trevin is an awesome husband.....and wife when I get too busy to help out. The majority of our fall activities so far have included attending football games, watching football games, listening to football games, playing football games and a few other things. Haha. Actually we've been trying to help my sister get ready for her wedding which is in a few weeks, we've been doing plenty of homework but also spending lots of time with family and friends.

A couple weekends ago my parents came out for a few days. I threw Ashley a bridal shower and so my parents were able to there. It was awesome to spend time with them and help my mom through some wedding craziness. My poor parents, two girl weddings in six-months. Also last weekend was Trevin and my nephew Callin's one year old birthday. Trevin's family came down and we had a little birthday party for him. What a cute little dude. Our children better look like him. So yeah it has been awesome to spend so much time with family even while school is so crazy.

Well its back to the grind but maybe our blogging will be more frequent and probably more entertaining now that its Trevin's turn
