So the end is near-ish. The baby is due in about a month so I'm starting to do all those things you do at the end like buying the not so fun stuff (I've gone from buying the most adorable baby clothes to now diaper rash cream), packing a hospital bag, washing clothes, stuff like that. Being a first timer I have NO CLUE what to do....my sister-in-law is probably sick of my millions of questions every day.

It seems like anyone who has ever had a baby or whose aunt's-cousin's-younger brother's-wife had a baby has some kind of opinion on the matter. So anyone with some advice on the most useful and the most useless things you bought for your baby or packed in your hospital bag lets hear it!
My baby's only 3 weeks, but so far the best thing we got for him was definitely a swaddler. Totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteIf you're getting an epidural, then bring games and a laptop if you have one. Also, food for your hubby on the first night would be good. A lot of the other things we didn't need. As for things to buy? Breast pump, baby mittens, baby swing. They don't use toys much for a while, and if your baby is anything like mine, a couple of receiving blankets will do - she didn't like to be swaddled after the first month.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you should definitely get a diaper pad for your crib. It will save you from a lot of laundry =)
