Have you heard the song Thankful by Josh Groban?!? I am in love with it right now. How perfect for the season huh! Anyways after listening to it a bunch and with Thanksgiving in a few days I can't but help write a thankful post.
This year has seemed to have a few extra trials compared to other years but it also seems like I have a few million extra things to be thankful for. Funny how that works.
I'm so incredibly grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It really has helped me through some tough things this year. I think back to those six weeks in March and April where I started a new job, living in a new place, taking care of Addie all by myself. Or I think about the beginning of this year when the realization set it in that we wouldn't be going to medical school the following year. What in the world were we suppose to do? During these times and many others this year I've never felt less alone and more calm. Its crazy how sometimes you have to close your eyes and just have to take whatever steps Heavenly Father guides you to take and when you get to open your eyes again you have made it to where you are suppose to.
I am grateful for my family. Have you seen Addie? Pretty much the cutest kid ever. All it takes is a hug, kiss, smile, cuddle, really anything to melt my heart. Its crazy how many different things have to go right and perfectly to have a healthy, happy child. Each child really is a miracle and I thank God every day for blessing us with her as our miracle. Trevin--where do I even begin? I've never met another human being so willing to give and do anything and everything for someone else. I'm not sure why or how I got so lucky but I really hit the jackpot.
My list could go on and on but I think I hit the main ones. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
