The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

This is ANOTHER pregnancy blog, if you had a little person growing inside of you that's all that you would think about too.

The Good:
  • I love it when she moves around and kicks. Really there is nothing like feeling your baby moving in your stomach
  • Hiccups. She gets them all the time and I think they are seriously the cutest thing ever. Even at 3 a.m. when it wakes me up, its so hard to be upset at her hiccuping.
  • Shopping....need I say more? For some reason anything miniature is so CUTE! I am obsessed with buying baby girl clothes, I love it!
  • Food....since day 1 I've constantly been told to eat more so pretty much I eat anything I want anytime, when else in your life do you get to do that?
The Bad:
  • The icky sick feeling that can strike at any moment
  • Having a hard time breathing because the baby is squishing my lungs not to mention all my other organs
  • Waking up multiples times at night to go to the bathroom/having to make multiple stops in one trip to the grocery store
  • Food....sometimes its fun to get to eat as much as you want but sometimes its definitely rough to keep up with how much food this baby needs, especially when that icky feeling sets in
The Ugly:
  • Seeing your breakfast come back up after you worked so hard to get it down, thank goodness it didn't happen very much to me
  • Anyone seen me walk lately? Yeah I don't walk anymore, I waddle, slower than a turtle
  • TRYING to button my pants
  • I haven't been there yet but I'm sure me in labor won't be a beautiful sight

Cheetos And A Stroller

The two highlights of my day.....

We went to Babies R Us and bought our stroller. Here it is. I can't wait to try it out in a couple months!

Apparently my Cheeto craving hasn't gone away either because after dinner tonight I NEEDed Cheetos. Trevin was nice enough to make a Cheeto run for me and it made my day. Cheetos, butter same thing right?

Giving In

When I first got pregnant I scoffed at cravings, maternity clothes, and waddling. Well recently I had cheeto cravings at 11:00 at night, wore my first pair of maternity pants, and have officially mastered the waddle. I guess its about time that I come to the realization I am full on prego. Here are some of the best so far...
  • I now sleep with 6 pillows (one of them is actually a body pillow so it might count double) because one or two just isn't enough
  • It is not unusual for me to eat crackers in bed at 1 am because I'm starving
  • Bending down was definitely a thing of the past
  • Trevin asked me the other day if I could see my feet....the answer is no
  • Cheeto and guacamole craving at 11:00 the other night (weird combo, I know)
  • We can't go to the movies anymore because sitting for that long is totally out of the question
  • I can definitely out eat Trevin, big time
With 10 weeks left I'm sure all of these things only get more fun and dramatic but then I think to 11 or 12 weeks from now (cross your fingers that its maybe only 8 or 9) and I get so excited to meet our little girl and even now I'm sure this is all worth it!

Valentines

Because we hardly ever take pictures anymore and finally took one I had to blog. Trevin was so sweet to me all day and bought me flowers and cooked me breakfast. I have the bestest husband ever! For dinner Trev took me to this place is Salt Lake called Trio. It was a really nice place and had awesome Italian food. We already look out of place at these nice restaurants because we never order drinks, appetizers, or dessert and we didn't want to look even more out of place by taking a picture in there so we decided to take one in the car before we went inside. Happy Valentines Day!!

Cinco de Mayo

I know its a little early to be thinking to holidays in May. We haven't even had Valentines or Easter but if I had my way we would just skip straight to Cinco de Mayo. Yes I know, a little bit random considering I don't have any Latin heritage and I don't drink alcohol.

However this is the official day that I am guaranteed to see our little girl. I was talking to a girl at church today who is due this week and she said she feels like this might never end. I started thinking about that and somewhat freaking out at the thought of being pregnant forever but then I realized there really has to be an end. While I can't guarantee our baby will come a week or two early like I hope my doctor guaranteed that by Cinco de Mayo she would be out and in my arms! Maybe our little girl is trying to tell us something with all my guacamole cravings. Some days when I feel like I might be pregnant forever I count my blessings and include Pitocin in them.

STUD

Warning: this blog post is full of extreme bragging and no sense of humility about the man I married.

Now that you have all been fair warned here we go.

Lately Trevin and my life have seemed to revolve immensely around my stomach. Well not really my stomach but the little girl that is living in there at the moment. Most of my blogs seem to deal with pregnancy in some way or another whether its the outfits I want to buy or what I threw up after breakfast that morning. It seems to be a constant topic around all of our friends. "How are you feeling?" "What's the latest edition to the nursery?" "EEEEKK I'm so excited" You know that sort of thing. Well with all my moaning and groaning I sometimes forget that I married a STUD, as in someone really really awesome. So here I go bragging about Trevin because well he really deserves it.

Early every morning Trev kisses me good-bye as he heads for class and I mumble "I love you" with my head still buried under the covers, semi-upset that eventually I will have to get out of bed and drag myself to work at 9:30. Trevin goes to school all morning and then works until 5:00 pm at which point I meet him at the track, he runs his 3 miles or whatever while I struggle to waddle my 1 whole mile. After we get home and eat dinner Trev either goes back to the library or buries himself in the bedroom studying MCAT for another few hours. By the time he is done with that there's only time for maybe a few minutes of Sportscenter and then off to bed to do it again the next day. Also once a week he volunteers as a Spanish interpreter at a local low-income clinic. And then another day every week he shadows one of the BYU team doctors at his Sports Medicine Clinic. Seriously this boy works so hard, good thing he gets the weekend to relax....haha funny.

Here is how our weekend went. Trev woke up at 7:30 on Saturday so he could take a full length practice MCAT. Around 10 I rolled out of bed and head to the grocery store. When I get back from the store he was just finishing up the test (he got a 30!!!). He then started his weekly manly chores aka trash, bathroom, etc. Side note--since we got married I have never had to clean the bathroom thanks to him! Later on Trevin runs out to the store to get something I forgot for dinner that night. Then we tried out our pasta skills for our dinner guests. The two of us struggled to imitate Chef Bob and his amazing pasta skills that we learned the weekend before on our cooking date, we actually didn't do too bad. Sunday Trev once again got up early to go to the meetings he had for the 3 hours before church started. He came home an hour after church because of meetings and now he is finally asleep.

What a stud! Between going to school, working, volunteering/shadowing, studying for the MCAT, church responsibilities, and taking care of his needy pregnant wife he has so much on his plate. I can't help but brag because he does so good at it and I'm so proud of him!!

One of Everything

It feels like about that time of year when you get the winter blues and start looking forward to summer. I started looking for a new swimsuit for myself since you have to get a new one every year (Trevin thinks this whole idea is ridiculous). Anyways I realized that there will be someone much cuter to buy a swimming suit for this summer and instead starting looking for her. I think she may need multiple suits because I want one of each.
