Migrating South

I know it will be the wrong time of year to be migrating south but its official (it has been for awhile I've just been a terrible blogger) we are moving to Glendale, AZ.  My dreams of endless sunshine and warmth are about to come true....well come July they will.  We couldn't be more excited to be moving on with life.  Trev will be starting medical school at Midwestern and Addie and I will just be kicking it by the pool.  I know rough life huh. We will be there for the next 3-4 years, (not sure where we will end up for fourth year rotations) and then on to residency but I can't even think that far yet.  We are just ready to get to AZ and start the next chapter of our little family's life.

In other news its been almost six months since I got diagnosed with celiac and it has been a much harder journey than I thought.  I didn't realize how much you miss certain foods or the convience of things until they are gone.  I have been feeling good though which is what I'm most grateful for.  The new joke we have around our house when Trevin mentions something like...."man that pizza hut commercial looks good" my response is always, "that's dead to me."  There are so many places and foods that have been forever crossed off my list and free meals are no longer a perk of church activities or family gatherings.  Sometimes it gets frustrating and a little bit depressing that this is what the rest of my life will be like but then I just have to count my blessings.  Food is not the end of the world, I don't have cancer or some crazy disease (well I do but not real crazy).  It has definitely changed our lives a ton and I defintely have the most incredibly supportive husband ever.  He doesn't complain that our weekly grocery bill has doubled or that we don't eat at most restaurants anymore.

I know I'm pretty crummy at transitions but its my blog so I can do whatever I want right?  Addie, our incredibly hilarious child, is coming up on her 2nd birthday next month.  For reals has it really been that long?!  Where did the time go.  She loves the park, puzzles, blocks, princesses, and the ipod (we have to limit her since she knows how to get on youtube and could watch mickey mouse for hours).  She says the funniest things and loves to sing church songs.  Right now as I type this she is having a hard time sleeping so she is in there yelling, "Mommy, daddy, I'm still crying!" Newborns and babies are super cute but it really has been so much fun seeing her little personality developing and communicating with us.  Addie sleeps in a toddler bed now.  We were really worried about the transition from the crib but she has yet to ever get out of her bed.  She has fallen out a few time and just yells in the middle of the night, "I need help, I need help" but she has been a champ with it.

Well sorry its been so long since an update and I would like to promise another one soon but I'm just not that reliable lately.  The whole working full-time thing really puts a dent in my blogging time/motivation.
